Introducing the first Physiotherapy Prep Course for 1st year Students

The first post-offer preparatory course designed to help incoming physiotherapy students prepare for the unique challenges of their physiotherapy program.

Our goal is to create resilience through preparation.

Our approach

The foundation of Resilience Health Education is based from Albert Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory’s belief that self-efficacy plays a significant role in one’s ability to learn. High self-efficacy is known to improve an individuals ability to take on tasks and master skills while demonstrating resilience when challenged.

By enrolling with Resilience Health Education, students will be provided the foundational and fundamental information they need to prepare for the significant challenges of physiotherapy education. Through academic preparation students are more likely to begin their physiotherapy education with high self-efficacy and maintain a healthy physical, emotional, and mental state of mind.

Providing students a solid foundation

Our curriculum has been developed to include the foundational information students require for their physiotherapy education regardless of their program or location. The curriculum is designed with influence from the National Physiotherapy Entry-to-Practice Curriculum Guidelines (2019) and the NPAG Competency Profile for Physiotherapists in Canada (2017), as well as over 10 years of physiotherapy education experience and 15 years of clinical experience.

Education at your own pace

All components of the Physiotherapy Prep course are available online. You can begin a course or module whenever works best for you, and complete it at your own pace. Each course will end with an evaluation of your learning with feedback for areas that may require further study prior to beginning your physiotherapy program.
